Three American Students Shoot Dead

It's has been reported that three young Muslim has been shoot death in Chapel Hill, US. Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23, his wife, Yusor Mohammad, 21, and her sister, Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19 were shoot death by Craig Stephen Hicks. Hicks turned himself in to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office in Pittsboro following the shooting, which happened in the Finley Forest complex off Barbee Chapel Road shortly after 5 p.m.


It also reported that the three were the young muslim leaders and social activists who get involved in many charity events. Deah Shaddy Barakat was a second-year student in the School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina. In his spare time, Barakat volunteered for the homeless, providing free dental supplies and food. Last year, Barakat helped raise thousands of dollars for dental care for victims of the Syrian crisis. His wife, Yusor Mohammad was graduated last year in human biology at the North Carolina State University.Yusor's sister, Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha who also shoot death was a student at North Carolina State University in architecture and environmental design.

However, why no massive media coverage? Normally, it become headline in western media whenever there were shoot tragedy in western. Is it because the muslim who were shoot death in this tragedy? Would it become different is the murderer is muslim and the victims are non-muslim?
